Guy Tinkers with Game Electronics and Gets Paid For It
“Ben Heck” started out with tinkering with gaming consoles as a hobby. But now, people pay him big money to mod/hack/modify their machines. From old Ataris turned handhelds, one-handed game controllers, five-in-one console frankensteins to rowing machines with Xbox live, Ben Heck has done quite a number of machines. Technology websites anticipate his every project like some modding Elvis.
Though he works from his garage, his work is professional, market-ready quality, thus contributing to his fame. He never would have thought all this would happen just because he decided to play around with his old Atari.
And the funny thing is, aside from being trained as graphic designer, he doesn’t play much videogames.
