Stephen Colbert for President
With the US presidential elections just around the corner, the electoral media circus is acting up. Sure, we heard about the following: McCain and Obama biographical comics, Erik Larsen’s Savage Dragon cover endorsing Obama and the group “Comics Industry for Obama.” Yup, the election is getting into full swing.
Marvel comics has always had the universe that is based on the real world. Heck, even election fever is picking up in there. And if you’ve been reading titles (at least those titles with settings in the United States), you know that Stephen Colbert is running for US president in the Marvel Universe. His campaign logo pops up everywhere in there.
Say what you want (hate or love them) about Colbert and Quesada; but they sure look like they’re having fun. Just recently, Marvel revealed the latest cover (the Colbert Variant) for the Amazing Spider-man:
