Test your Sobriety with Calculus
I was browsing the XKCD blog and ran into Randall’s mention of “Google’s sobriety test” (quotes are Randall’s own words):
WTF?!? Even sober, fully conscious and on the mental and intellectual prime, I wouldn’t be able to solve those fast enough…if at all. Dangnabit, I’ve been a computer engineer for more than half a decade and I’ve never had to use integral calculus in my job. I mean, n from 1 to 89pi? How do you even do that? (RE: Don’t answer that. It’s rhetorical and I could always look up my college calculus notes if I bother to want the answer).
